Role Description
About the team: Surveillance & Regulatory: We are responsible for delivering solutions that protect Deutsche Bank’s financial and reputational interests from criminal or inappropriate behaviour. Through real-time sanction and embargo filtering, operational risk controls and sophisticated fraud detection that will increasingly deploy artificial intelligence, our systems protect both clients and the bank, allow risks to be managed according to risk appetite, and keep Deutsche Bank in compliance with global and local regulations.
You will be a key member of Surveillance analytics squad in Surveillance & Regulatory tribe. Surveillance data analytics offers data analytics as a service which combines Surveillance control events along with data from Payment systems and Surveillance providers to support informed decision making and detect potential gaps in surveillance controls.

Your key responsibilities
As IT application owner, you are responsible for –
- The ITAO supports the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues to reduce risk.
- Responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements.
- Contributes to vulnerability assessments (Information security). Applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.
- Data management: Assists in providing accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data in an ethical manner.
- Ensure compliance of the application with applicable IT policies & procedures with specific consideration to IT Management and Information security policies
- Facilitate periodic reviews for the application on capacity, performance & consumption (Forecast and management based on business plans)
- Oversee and be accountable for timely software patching and certificate renewals by infrastructure teams.
- Review and analyse the impact and accept/reject all changes to application to ensure stability and compliance of the system.
- Facilitate automation of production processes and minimise manual interventions on production and UAT environments.
- Acts as the custodian of application runbook and other supporting documents to ensure the KOPs for service continuity and recovery are well-documented.
- Contribute in Scrum ceremonies and activities along with other squad members.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer-Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent. Total 10-12 years of experience in IT industry with exposure to full SDLC cycle.
Technical Skills
- Experience of working in ticketing tool: ServiceNow and Jira / confluence
- Working knowledge of CICD tool-set and logging and monitoring tools (exposure to GCP based CICD setup and logging/monitoring tools will be preferred)
- Experience working with GCP based big data platform
- Understanding of DevOps and SRE structure and processes
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience of working in financial institution / payment domain
