Intel’s Process & Design Optimization group is looking for an experienced VLSI Backend Design Engineer to help drive innovation in chip design and process technology.

Your Role:

As a VLSI Backend Design Engineer, you will:✔ Drive the physical design flow for complex VLSI chips, ensuring high performance and reliability.✔ Develop and enhance physical design methodologies.✔ Optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) using advanced techniques and industry-leading tools.✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and refine design specifications.✔ Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in VLSI physical design.✔ Fine-tune logic design blocks to align with process and design goals.✔ Conduct circuit and device-level analysis to evaluate and improve advanced technologies.✔ Analyze process PPA and contribute to defining and optimizing semiconductor processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 4+ years in VLSI physical design with a strong track record of successful projects.
  • Expertise in placement, routing, and timing closure.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools (APR & Signoff).
  • Hands-on experience with power, performance, and area (PPA) optimization.
  • Familiarity with advanced technology nodes.
  • Scripting skills in Python/TCL for automation and efficiency.
