Salesforce Data Cloud is looking for a visionary engineering manager to lead our platform team. In this strategic role, you will oversee the design and optimization of our platform, enabling organizations to unify, govern, and activate enterprise knowledge from a range of third-party systems, all to power exceptional AI-driven CRM experiences.Our mission is to seamlessly integrate unstructured data from diverse sources and transform it into a unified, AI-ready knowledge graph within Salesforce Data Cloud. As the Engineering Manger, you will direct the development of scalable solutions for comprehensive data ingestion and transformation, unlocking the potential of unstructured data to deliver deep insights and fuel intelligent automation. Your Impact:
- Defining, evolving, and communicating the team’s vision, mission, and strategy across Data Cloud.
- Collaborating with Product and technical leaders to build a roadmap for your team and growing the team to complete that roadmap.
- Delivering team goals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implementing effective engineering processes and policies.
- Setting and fulfilling the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
What You Should Have
- You have 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
- You excel at balancing competing priorities and making quick, informed decisions to meet technical needs.
- You have a strong technical background, allowing you to engage effectively in architecture and product discussions with engineers.
- You have a proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality products, including experience developing products from scratch.
- You are flexible, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal specifications to create clarity and direction.
- You provide objective feedback that supports both team and individual growth.
- You bring experience in hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
