Who are we?
An excellent opportunity for a creative and motivated engineer to be part of Intel's P-Core (Performance Core) Group, doing exciting work in the development of next generation P-Core CPU in both Server and Client products. Intel's P-Core group is one of the most important domains with a large impact on Intel's CPU products and corporate profits. Core technology is highly evolving with a huge number of technologies being developed. Intel's core group is in charge of developing the Core of Intel's next generation of CPUs, taking part in all design phases from initial definitions and studies till mass production. The group makes use of state of the art VLSI design tools and Python/C/C++ firmware tools while meeting very challenging timelines, quality, low power, code area and compute performance constraints. The candidate who will join Intel's Core group to work on pioneering projects, in all Intel's P-cores (COE) aimed at optimizing Intel's core power-thermal-performance (PTP) using cutting-edge power-management firmware. What are we looking for?
Intel's P-Core group is looking for a Low-Level DevOps, Infrastructure and Release Engineer, to define and design team tools (both external and unique tools), integrate all different team code components in multiple Pre-Si and Post-Si environments and release them to multiple teams in Server and Client. The engineer will be the focal points for multiple client/server teams, as the representative of the firmware design and validation. The firmware is an innovative core power manager firmware using advanced firmware/software engineering methodologies (including machine-learning-based and heuristics-based) and tools. Job requires deep understanding of related processes and tools and system understanding of the entire CPU. You will work in close interaction with Architects, validation team, design team, Core and SoC architects in the CPU. Expectation is to work through the entire firmware development cycle - from Pre-Si activities (simulation, emulation) till Post-Si activities (board bring-up, features enablement and optimization). You are expected to be independent, creative, with the ability to innovate new solutions and demonstrate uncompromised quality during your work.
