PURPOSE

• The Omne transformation team are responsible for designing and developing our one stop digital platform (Omne) for regional markets within FWD. The team builds new services and features to drive business value.  The ambition is Omne becoming the number 1 digital platform in the industry – providing an immersive, personalized marketplace of services and solutions “One in All Experience”.
• A role to be responsible for end-to-end service, design, development and support the implementation of Insurance & Engagement data, ETL platform , which includes working with internal and external stakeholders during the different phase of projects from Group Office to across different local countries.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

• Lead the co-definition of the digital and data solution roadmap and implementation strategy with Group and Country technology and business leaders across identified systems.
• Guide and supervise other team members and vendors to Design, Analyze and deliver as Data Engineer Must be familiar with and highly skilled in all aspects of Life Insurance Data Model, ETL’s, Sql Server. Lead the discussion with the countries related to data unification. Identify optimal approach to create a single customer view for all markets.
• Guide Vendors to source data and build API’s from the countries.
• Define, design, develop, document and implement end-to-end data pipelines and data integration processes, both batch and real-time. This include Life Asia and data analysis, data profiling, data cleansing, data lineage, data mapping, data transformation, developing ETL / ELT jobs and workflows, and deployment of data solutions.
• Monitor, recommend, develop and implement ways to improve data quality including reliability, efficiency and cleanliness, and to optimize and fine-tune ETL / ELT processes.
• Establish, recommend, execute and deliver best practices in data management and data lifecycle processes, including modular development of ETL / ELT processes, coding and configuration standards, error handling and notification standards, auditing standards, and data archival standards.
• End to end lead & prepare test data, assist to create and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts.
• Collaborate with Data Architect, Data Modeler, IT team members, SMEs, vendors and internal business stakeholders, to understand data needs, gather requirements and implement data solutions to deliver business goals in order to create an impactful customer experience.
• See through a project from conception to the finished product, think ahead of further enhancements.
• Stay abreast of developments in data engineering in order to meet both technical and stakeholders needs.
• BAU support for any data issues and change requests, document all investigations, findings, recommendations and resolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
• Highly experience in writing .Net ETLs.
• At least 8-10+   years of using .Net,  Azure, AWS technologies with minimum 5 years of professional experience in data warehouse, operational data store, and large-scale data architecture implementations in Unix or/and Windows environment.
• Prior solid hands-on development experience with ETL development to transform complex data structure in multiple data sources environment.
• Prior data model (relational and/or data warehouse), data mart design and implementation.
• Strong track records/experience in ETL programming.
• Hands-on experience on real-time data streaming using Kafka/Confluent
• Hands-on data API implementation using Python/Java would be big plus.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Experience with various of ETL/ELT frameworks, data warehousing concepts, data management framework and data lifecycle processes
• Strong understanding of ETL.
• Experienced in handling and processing different types of data (structured, semi-structured and unstructured).
• Strong knowledge in various database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL and columnar).
• Preferably with a good understanding of data analytics and data visualization, highly prefer Power BI
• Good understanding on Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance Tools preferring Informatica technologies
• Ability to communicate and present technical information in a clear and unambiguous manner.
• Strong ability to work independently and cooperate with diverse teams in a multiple stakeholder’s environment.
• Strong sense of work ownership, high affinity with anything data and a desire for constant improvements.
