The Senior Director, Customer Proposition role is critical in ensuring that the organization’s customer propositions are strategically aligned, market-leading, and deliver measurable value for both customers and the business.

Responsibilities:

This role focuses on leading and executing customer-centric initiatives, driving strategic product propositions, and enabling local business units (LBUs) to deliver best-in-class offerings in alignment with the Group Customer Proposition and Wealth team’s mission.

  • Lead and Execute Key Initiatives: Align initiatives with the Group Customer Proposition and Wealth team’s mission to ensure customer-led and commercially viable products/services. Ensure consistency and synergy across markets and business units in delivering customer-led propositions that meet business objectives.
  • Develop and Deploy new Strategies and Enablers: Lead the creation and deployment of strategies, enablers, processes, partnerships, or skills that empower business units to develop propositions that are strategically positioned to meet market demands and deliver value to customers.
  • Customer and Market Knowledge: Gather customer and market insights that inform proposition development. Leverage these insights to enhance purchase intentions by creating compelling wealth product offerings.
  • Enable Markets to Interpret Research: Equip markets with tools and capabilities to interpret research findings and finalize products and propositions based on customer feedback and insights.
  • Customer Segmentation and Proposition Development: Collaborate with LBU Customer and Product Teams to identify and define target customer segments for each major product. Help bring these segments to life through tailored propositions that meet their unique needs.
  • Champion Go-To-Market (G2M) Plans: Lead the go-to-market planning for new propositions across markets and ensure integrated G2M strategy via cross team collaboration. Focus on optimizing the positioning, communication, and launch strategies for both new and existing product propositions.
  • Drive End-to-End Proposition Initiatives: Oversee the entire lifecycle of proposition initiatives, including gathering meaningful customer insights, defining unique value propositions, and developing detailed customer personas.
  • Enhance Country-Level Capabilities: Support countries in enhancing their ability to tell compelling product stories through various touchpoints and enable local teams to execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with group-level goals by providing framework, tools and training.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Customer-Led Approach: Ensure all strategies and propositions are deeply rooted in customer insights.
  • Research and Insights: Deploy research tools and processes to continuously refine and improve propositions.
  • Go-To-Market Excellence: Drive integrated strategies, ensuring seamless execution across all customer touchpoints.
  • Governance and Alignment: Standardize processes across markets while allowing flexibility to address local nuances.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, sales, etc.) to ensure alignment and successful execution.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in any discipline
  • 15-20 years of experience in product marketing or a related customer-driven function
  • Customer-centric mindset and sound understanding in customer journey, insights, and research
  • Exceptional writing skills in English and ability to also speak a South-East Asian language will be a plus
  • Experience in product concept/propositions writing
  • Prior experience in creating Regional/Group initiatives and collaboration with LBUs
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Proven stakeholder & project management experience
  • Digital savvy and proficiency in MS Office
