This role supports the Senior Director ALM including responsibility for governance of Prudential Investment Management Private Limited (PIM), its contracts and outsourcing management, MAS compliance and reporting, secretarial works for various committees, and support the investment related works for the GCIO team.
Job Responsibilities: Proactively support the Senior Director ALM, in respect of governance and investment support related matters. Key activities include:
- PIM’s Governance: Ensure PIM's operation governance, including compliance with MAS requirements and internal policies, developing/reviewing process/control policies, coordinating board meetings, and preparing reports to maintain regulatory compliance.
- PIM’s Contracts and Outsourcing management: Conduct secretariat work for PIM’s Outsourcing Governance Committee, including preparing meeting agendas, drafting and collecting meeting papers, and preparing meeting minutes, support PIM and its stakeholders in timely vendor engagement. Conduct PIM intragroup contract engagements, procurement assessments and reviews, and ensuring compliance with outsourcing requirements.
- GCALM and GIC meetings: acting as secretariat to both committees, organise and plan the monthly and quarterly meetings for both committees, including setting the meeting agendas, meeting materials, follow-up actions, proper record of decisions and timely circulation of minutes.
- Group Investment Office support: support the team in investment related works, such as preparing investment MI reports, analysing data, reviewing investment reports, maintain proper records of investment policies/guidelines changes and approvals, support review in investment related risk and control framework, manage updates to the related Group governance policies/manual etc.
Job Requirements:
- An understanding of the insurance industry and its relevant regulatory reporting bases is an advantage.
- Experience on drafting meeting minutes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability and desire to produce good documentation.
- Organised and maintain proper record of documentation
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Team player who resolves problems through a consultative approach.
- Willingness to learn and curious about drivers for investment strategies, financial markets and their impact on the business.
- Understanding and relevant experience with various asset types and instruments is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build effective relationships and liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business units and Group
Education and Experience: at least 6 years working experience in the financial services industry in a similar role, CFA level 2 or above holder
