About the Role

Responsible for all matters relating to Board of Directors to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To assist in organising board and committees meetings of various AIA entities covered by Group Legal and prepare minutes for such meetings
  • To assist in the preparation of annual returns as well as other corporate filings and, where necessary, to provide technical input in relation to the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance, Insurance Ordinance and other corporate compliance processes
  • To participate and provide company secretarial support to any ongoing or ad-hoc projects of the Group
  • To maintain and update company secretarial records, registers and statutory filings
  • To draft and update corporate governance policies & standards, and lead/support the implementation of groupwide corporate governance practices
  • To provide coaching and supervision over company secretarial supporting staff of delegated assignments

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • A member of HKICS/ICSA or a qualified solicitor
  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally with insurance, banking or financial services background
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Experienced in taking minutes for board and committee meetings
  • Good working attitude and excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent in managing team resources, dealing with and handling multiple and changing work deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent organisation skills and experienced in planning workflows
  • Mature, well-organised, self-motivated, detail-minded and able to work independently and as part of a team
