The Job
Provide a monthly projection of Alternatives future investment requirements after consideration of existing portfolio, commitments, cashflow expectations and SAA targets based on business plan projections
Review results of investment performance/return calculations for accuracy and analyze performance attribution and provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Provide regular Alternative investment portfolio analysis and reporting and work closely with Senior team members
Provide fund analysis and respond to ad-hoc requests for information/research from internal and external clients
Support senior Alternative portfolio managers to research global Alternative asset classes, sectors and geographies to provide key inputs to Alternatives portfolio strategy
Support in managing cashflows, contract management and maintenance for portfolio of Alternative assets
Assist on identifying and sourcing high-quality Alternative investment opportunities through various channels, staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
Assist on structuring and negotiating investment terms, and coordinate with legal advisors to finalize Alternative investment transaction agreements
Assist on conducting due diligence and related tasks
Prepare investment memos, financial models, and presentations for potential investment opportunities
The Person
University graduate in relevant discipline
CFA and/or MBA preferred
Up to 5 years of investment and management experience
In depth understanding of the investment management industry
Sound understanding of investment principles
Team player with high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure as well as with individuals from a variety of disciplines and levels
Self-motivated and able to multitask, prioritize, cope with competing demands, and think outside the box
Strong project management and communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Accounting and/or risk management knowledge is a plus
