Corporate Title Assistant Vice President

Credit Risk Management, Global Credit Financing & Solutions (CRM GCFS) team supports multiple business units across the Corporate & Investment Bank, including Direct Lending Incl Venture Lending subset (Structured & Corporate Lending), Credit Solutions (Financial Asset Financing), Distressed Products (Loan Restructurings), Client Sub Sovereign Solutions, Equity Margin Lending.  Transactions are typically complex, highly structured, secured, often non-recourse, non-investment grade and require extensive application of fundamental credit analysis. The role is based in London as part of a global team that covers portfolios in EMEA and the Americas.

Your key responsibilities

  • Analysing new Structured finance transactions including Leveraged Buyouts, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) financing, Contract Monetisation / Quasi-government receivables, Back Leverage of loan / Private Equity portfolios (or on a single name basis) and supporting ancillary business such as Foreign Exchange (FX) / Interest Rates / Commodity Derivatives, Transaction Banking
  • Reviewing ongoing credit requests, assessing credit risks and repayment capacity, assessing valuations
  • Reviewing financial models, business plans and projections, including downside scenario analysis
  • Producing credit ratings and assessing compliance with risk appetite and regulatory and policy requirements
  • Recommending changes to ratings as and additions to credit watchlist where appropriate
  • Managing day-to-day tasks for internal approval processes and transaction management

Your skills and experience

  • University degree preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics
  • Strong experience in a financial institution, specifically within a lending or credit risk function
  • Understanding of corporate finance; Ability to understand complex financing structures across a variety products, including senior debt, junior debt and derivatives
  • Analytical skills, including cash flow modelling / forecasting and understanding of derivative structures
  • Understanding of loan documentation and other legal concepts
  • Ability to work independently under time pressure and manage multiple assignments in parallel
