Your mission:

You’ll be part of the team that owns and evolves the Design System used by 90+ product teams at Wise, with a specific focus on Product Systems. Reporting directly to the Design Lead for Product Design Systems, you’ll work closely with them to shape planning, prioritisation, and the overall direction of the work. Together, you’ll define the strategy and evolve the foundations of a system designed for global scale, enabling teams across the business to move faster with confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll build strong relationships with product teams and develop a deep understanding of our system subscribers needs—using that insight to guide design decisions at scale.

  • You’ll apply and evolve your craft through collaboration, while enabling others to grow and deliver great work.

  • You’ll influence direction and priorities within your team, championing customer-centricity, creativity, and high design standards.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Drive outcomes. Help shape innovative, inclusive, and intuitive experiences through hands-on contribution and collaboration.

  • Lead with impact. Guide design efforts with clarity and structure—bringing momentum to complex work while staying hands-on.

  • Champion craft. Support high-quality design through mentorship and example, helping others grow and raising the bar together.

About you:

  • Lead through doing. You bring clarity to complex problems, set direction, and contribute directly to accessible, coherent solutions.

  • Systems thinking. You connect patterns, behaviours, and content across products—driving consistency without rigidity.

  • Craft meets strategy. You balance polish with purpose, ensuring design decisions ladder up to real user and business outcomes.

  • Advanced Figma skills. You’ve built and maintained scalable systems in Figma, keeping them flexible and future-proof.

  • Inclusive by design. You embed accessibility from the start, designing for a wide range of needs—not as an afterthought.
