The Research division within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank counts hundreds of equity analysts, economists and fixed income strategists. The division is responsible for economic and financial analysis and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the Bank in financial markets, the economy and society, high-light risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality analysis and promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.
You will be responsible for overseeing the Research operations team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring efficient delivery of services to both external clients and internal stakeholders, while driving continuous improvement and implementing change initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
- Oversee the global Research operations team on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of business-as-usual (BAU) operations services to both external clients and internal stakeholders, including research analysts
- Drive continuous improvement within the Research operations team, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and tighten controls
- Ensure key regulatory and business controls run effectively, working closely with the business controls team and research compliance
- Implement and operationalise change initiatives where relevant, in coordination with the Research Change team, ensuring seamless integration into BAU workflows and processes
- Manage a team of over 50 staff, primarily offshore, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance. This includes providing regular feedback, supporting, coaching, and mentorship
Your skills and experience
- Previous relevant work experience, including experience managing operations teams with a proven track record of success. Experience managing remote/ offshore teams is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable ability to empower and motivate teams, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with audiences of different seniority, including clients, management and other internal stakeholders, and offshore teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, together with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
- Quick learner, enthusiastic and interpersonal skills
- Ideally, experience within the Client or Research Middle Office or Chief Operating Office (COO) team within an Investment Bank
