Group Strategic Analytics is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
Deutsche Bank Investment Banking is one of the leading providers of Electronic Trading (e-trading) solutions globally.
You will join the central e-trading function which covers risks, controls, and business management topics for aspects of e-trading that are cross business lines. This can be projects in relation to regulatory development or business aspects such as management information (MI) to business management.

Your key responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain algorithmic trading operational risk/control framework. Manage operating risk assessment process from 1st line function, challenge business assessment submission by conducting reviews and producing reports for senior management
- Be the go-to person for operational risk framework requirements. Work with e-trading stakeholders in risk assessment activities, maintain business aligned inventories and descriptive documentation of algorithms
- Work with 1st/2nd line functions to assist the algorithmic trading material change review/ approval process
- Maintain and enhance operational risk procedures/ documents to provide control standards and guidance to the business, technology and production management functions for control implementation and risk assessment activities
- Assist audit and regulatory reviews and projects in relation to e-trading. Work with technology to prioritise JIRAs, document functions, test and sign off changes to algorithms risk assessment, MI or workflow systems and produce business requirements
- Support e-trading governance forums by preparing materials and minutes. Assist various governance activities including incident reviews, and e-trading application review process
Your skills and experience
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, including report writing for senior management
- Good understanding of e-trading and/or risk management frameworks, automated and algorithmic trading including direct electronic access (DEA)
- Background in e-trading operational risk management, audit, Compliance of e-trading solutions. Ability to assess testing results and make recommendations
- Experience working with auditors, regulators, 1st (business and technology) and 2nd line functions
- Good knowledge of technology processes relevant to e-trading businesses (circuit breaker limits, testing, deployment, capacity, and resiliency)
- Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle associated with e-trading and associated risks, supporting technology (JIRA, Confluence, Tableau)
