With the goal of positively shaping the business and regulatory environment within which Visa operates, we are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Vice President, Global Corporate Affairs Communications to lead our global reputation management and stakeholder engagement by:
The ideal candidate is a sophisticated corporate affairs professional with a keen ability to build trust, connect dots, bridge siloes, and manage by influence to help corporate affairs colleagues around the world meet shared objectives. This leader will report to the SVP, Enterprise and Corporate Affairs Communications & Events, and will be a member of the Global Communications Leadership Team.

Basic Qualifications • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD. • Proven ability to distill complexity into actionable strategy. • Excellent persuasive written and verbal communications skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills, experience in social/digital storytelling. • Proven track record leading both internal and external communication programs and advising C-suite executives on executive communications. • Ability to communicate across diverse audiences and at all levels to build and nurture cross-functional relationships and foster partnerships. • Self-starter and strong problem solver with ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative. • Experience in working effectively in a matrixed environment and across organizational boundaries. • Proven track record of managing staff and or/agency teams to achieve measurable results. Preferred Qualifications • 15 or more years of communications work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD. • Strong understanding of regulatory dynamics and/or experience in government affairs. • Experience in financial services, payments, or technology sectors. • International work experience with understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
