The opportunity.
You will be the leader of the Energy, Marine and Construction Claims team. Responsible for the operational rigour and technical excellence of a team of 20 people.
Succeeding in this role will require you to work effectively with external and internal stakeholders. Working collaboratively with customers, brokers, co-insurers, reinsurers and service providers to reach pragmatic outcomes must be a priority. So to is internal collaboration with colleagues across underwriting, actuarial, finance and Zurich Resilience Solution as well as managing relationships with senior stakeholders across the UK business and global Claims management.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading high-performance teams and positioning the claims function as a key differentiator to support the winning and retention of business. They will have large loss claims experience in the London market and UK domestic market, including international claims, preferably in Energy and Construction lines, and experience in dispute resolution. They will be ACII qualified.
You will naturally have strong interpersonal skills and excellent relationship management skills and be able to demonstrate sound commercial acumen in ambiguous situations through effective communication.
