Job Description

This critical role will be at the forefront of building an enablement function to empower and grow our SMB B2B partnerships globally. This role involves driving the programmatic setup of the global SMB B2B partnerships function and supporting the creation of a Visa Commercial Solution (VCS) - wide partner strategy in a high-growth area for Visa. 

The position requires an experienced professional with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, particularly in a commercial mindset, ability to drive value and results, negotiation skills, payments knowledge, and the setup and running of programmatic operational functions. The target candidate will have a high level of energy, flexibility, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex and often ambiguous environment as part of a newly established team.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive growth for Visa by accelerating SMB B2B partnership opportunities. 

  • Build a partnership framework to screen, prioritized, empower and grow SMB B2B partnerships, by delivering value for Visa Clients. 

  • Lead the creation of a SMB B2B Partnership strategy, strategic positioning of  partnerships, and commercialization framework, working closely with the VBS Strategy, Product, and Business Development teams 

  • Conduct market and opportunity analysis to identify top opportunities. 

  • Engage with stakeholders in product, sales, GTM, operations, enablement, strategy and more, to ways to accelerate commercialization and achieving objectives 

  • Work closely with the product teams to evolve the value proposition, products and platforms to meet client and market needs at a global level 

  • Build new relationships with strategic players with the ultimate objective of agreeing areas of mutual beneficial value between Visa and potential partners  

  • Act as the liaison for partners, proactively identifying and solving partner issues and challenges 

  • Drive the programmatic setup of the global SMB B2B partnerships function. 

  • Build a comprehensive enablement toolkit and supporting infrastructure to accelerate partner engagements. 

  • Design and build systems, tools, and processes to onboard and enable partners. 

  • Design and build a product resell readiness framework and assessment of SMB products to create a resell-ready product catalogue. 

  • Drive partnership negotiations and contract discussions 

  • Manage ongoing global partnership relationships 

KEY SKILLS 

  • Commercial growth mindset, and experience in a client facing, revenue generating environment  

  • Strong program design and program management skills. 

  • Strategic through leadership 

  • Experience building governance models for scale businesses. 

  • Experience with designing and building operational models at scale. 

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building. 

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct market analysis and identify business opportunities. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a payments partnerships or business development role, preferably within the SMB sector. • Experience building operational programs in large scale organizations • Able to build relationships and gain exposure to internal and external client leadership teams through demonstrating key domain expertise. • You have prior experience in the design and build systems, tools, and processes to enable partnerships. • Prior experience in conduct market and opportunity analysis to identify top opportunities. • You have a demonstrated track record in the product resell readiness and establishing new partnerships
