Job Description:

Job SummaryThis person is a highly skilled sales professional responsible for new business acquisition, along with the retention and cultivation of existing customers in a defined geographic territory. They are strong in using internal and external resources to learn about the customers’ business, identify supply chain risks, and proactively contact customers to position and integrate UPSC digital portfolio of products and services. The person performs detailed analysis of customers’ business models and current supply chain risk exposure to create customized risk mitigation programs to promote business continuity. They are responsible for executing sales goals and achieving business plan results. They build strategic partnerships cross functionally to grow top line revenue, while maintaining profitable margin.  This person should have advanced negotiation and positioning skills, working Medium and Large Enterprise accounts with multiple senior stakeholders.  The candidate specializes in creating a positive customer experience through risk mitigation planning for customers with national supply chain risk exposure with first mile, middle-mile, and last mile delivery needs.Responsibilities:

  • Identifies sales opportunities to retain/grow existing customers and uncover new prospective customers 
  • Develops advanced sales strategies to target new business, grow existing account revenue and improve margin performance 
  • Advanced use of company systems and sales tools to conduct research, stay up to date on emerging trends, analyze customer information, and qualify leads   
  • Conducts highly skilled outbound sales calls in a defined geographic territory 
  • Advanced ability to develop and manage a robust sales pipeline of prospective opportunities 
  • Builds strategic partnerships with customers by responding to any questions, complaints, inquiries, and acting as their advocate in resolving service issues (e.g., claims, damages, etc.) 
  • Collaborates with customer-facing groups within UPSC to develop strategies and execute on initiatives. 
  • Participates in continuing education and training to maintain skills and certifications 
  • Conducts high quality presentations to internal and external groups 
  • Identifies key decision makers in customers’ organizations and develops strategic relationships with them to facilitate sales opportunities 
  • Acts as informal leader and mentors all levels on the POD team  
  • Demonstration over time for advancement of skills

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, or International Equivalent   
  • Obtain Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License or International Equivalent 
  • 3+ years’ previous sales experience

Preferences

  • Supply chain or insurance industry knowledge
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Travelling within the country
