About the Job

The team UW.Excellence is an international software development team working in an agile KANBAN Mode. We have the end-to-end responsibility for a web based application running on an AWS cloud at Allianz Germany.

Our tasks are further developing the application as well as maintenance, user support and managing our technical infrastructure and deployments. We are currently working in two cross-functional Sub-Teams, fully stuffed with BAs and developers who are able to refine and implement any backlog item.

Each team has its focus on particular features and workflows of the app. Nevertheless, we highlight cross-team collaboration.

Our application is used for underwriting and contract management processes in the commercial business of Allianz Germany. The app supports the creation of proposals for new customers, as well as managing and amending existing contracts. Our main users are underwriters and back office clerks.

What you do

Work closely together with other developers doing pair programming, code reviews and Knowledge sharing.
Work in an agile way and take various tasks like developing new features in the BE and FE, fixing bugs and improving existing code
Collaborate with the team to build and improve functionalities for fleet-insurance contract re-calculations and bulk changes, ensuring the application meets the needs of underwriters and back office clerks.
Ensure the stability and performance of the Java/Spring Boot Microservice architecture and Angular frontend, optimizing REST and SOAP interfaces for integration with Allianz systems.
Oversee the deployment and operation of the application within a Kubernetes cluster on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability and efficient resource management.
Work closely with underwriters, back office clerks and other stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the application's functionality and usability.

What you bring

Full Stack Developer with a focus on either Frontend or Backend development.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot as well as expertise in Angular, Typescript, RxJS and NgRx are mandatory.
Experience with REST and SOAP web services.
Knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
Understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Istio.
Familiarity with Spring Boot-based software architectures and a strong interest in learning new technical skills;
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.
