About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated PMO/Project Manager to oversee and drive strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, optimizing project execution, and establishing governance frameworks. This role will be responsible for managing project portfolios, improving delivery processes, and providing insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
What you do
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria; develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, and critical milestones; ensure timely and quality project delivery by addressing roadblocks proactively.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure effective collaboration and project execution.
- Establish and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, and tools; standardize reporting, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Develop governance structures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements; conduct project audits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a key liaison between project teams, senior management, and business units; facilitate steering committee meetings and project status updates.
- Ensure alignment of projects with strategic objectives and business priorities; prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries for leadership.
What you bring
- Proven experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management and governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe certification; experience in Insurance business; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; change management and process improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are all preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
