About the Job

The AGN Network Architect is an IT professional who is tasked with strategic work to evolve the network architecture and technologies on an end-to-end basis. You design robust data communication networks according to resiliency standards, commercial and performance aspects, such as wide area networks, local area networks, network security, cloud networks, etc.

You are also responsible for solutioning and implementing the infrastructure required to run the networks, consisting of routers, switches, and any other type of hardware and software, in line with industry requirements and standards, using a high degree of automation and orchestration. You support the area leadership as well as the network tribe leads and respective agile squads.

What you do

Lead parts of the Global Network technical architecture and design, managing the Network Architecture & Design Authority process to ensure best-in-class services.
Oversee network solution design and quality, applying in-depth knowledge to recommend solutions leveraging industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Periodically review and assess networks to identify opportunities for improving functionality, performance, and reliability, while identifying technical risks and mitigation actions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation at global, regional, and local levels, supporting strategic design direction and network architecture.
Lead the development of network automation solutions and roadmaps, providing thought leadership on transforming network operations through automation.
Align services versus projects in cooperation with Network Delivery Management, ensuring correlation with strategic network direction.
Collaborate closely with Network Regional Managers and architects across areas to support technical growth and define coherent solutions, with potential travel to site locations and vendor facilities.

What you bring

Extensive knowledge of network and telecom technologies and solutions, including LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Firewall, WAF, Load Balancing, Internet, Public Cloud (Azure and AWS), Remote Access, VPN, and Wi-Fi architectures.
Expert understanding of routing and switching architectures, complex network designs, configurations, and network protocols.
Proven ability to work independently or in a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects, with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change collaboratively, with experience in geographically dispersed teams and multicultural environments.
Fluent in English, with German as a plus; highly organized, detail-oriented, with quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
10-15 years of experience in operations, support, service management, specification, design, development, and deployment of data networks and communication systems.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information & Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
