About the Job
You will be working in an international and multi-skills Network Automation Squad, actively participating in design and development activities for new workflows to be automated.
This involves understanding the requirements raised by the other AGN squads/products, being exposed to different network technologies. We believe in an open source, vendor-agnostic and data driven approach, that can be tailored to the customers’ needs.
The goal is to lead AGN and its customers towards self-service and self-healing network.
What you do
- Support discovery/analysis activities related to new workflows based on other products requirements and work with the internal customers structuring their use cases
- Design and coordinate the development activities, understanding the eventual dependencies and architectural decisions to be taken
- Support the backlog definition and prioritization (e.g., Sprint planning) as well as creating and reviewing technical and functional documentation
- Contribute to architecture/design discussions with the team, but also with internal customers and end users
- Contribute to discussions and/or requirements with vendors/communities to ensure adopted technologies and standards are updated and following best practices
- Contribute to technical coordination/planning of the underlying infrastructure (Kubernetes/Docker/Cloud environment) and the already developed code and integration operation and maintenance
- Coach junior colleagues and collaborate with/support Squad members
- Be available for a few business trips per year, which could be required to meet the other team members
What you bring
- Design and support/coordinate development of end-to-end workflows, integrating with solutions and systems like Vault, AWX, ITSM, and Network Automation Source of Truth tools such as Nautobot/Netbox.
- Systems and infrastructure skills in Kubernetes, VMware virtualization, Docker, basic Linux, and Cloud understanding; experience in coordinating/planning infrastructure maintenance, including product updates, patches, and fixes.
- Familiarity with Git development practices and Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban approaches.
- Knowledge in network domains such as Firewall, LAN, WAN, Load Balancers, and Proxy.
- Familiarity with monitoring topics, including alerting and telemetry.
- Interest and experience in AI.
- Strong coding background in Python (using modules and JSON files) and/or Ansible (playbooks, YAML, Jinja2 templates), with experience in REST and RESTful API architecture and integration design.
