Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the PAM in planning, executing and reporting the results of internal audits of controls.
  • Undertakes audit assignments, drafts audit findings and reports for review by audit management, facilitates tracking of findings and validates closure of findings.
  • Executes day-to-day operational audit work and contributes to the delivery of audits (including the updating of Risk Assessment Profiles and Group Audit’s Continuous Audit Assessment process).
  • Undertakes all aspects of audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach including identification of key risks, documentation of process flows and key controls, testing controls to determine whether they are properly designed and operating effectively, and documenting audit work in accordance with GA’s methodology and standards.
  • Completes assigned audit work, including ad hoc projects and other business as usual tasks in line with agreed budgets and timeline.
  • Partners with other audit teams globally to ensure comprehensive audit coverage of Conduct and Supervision related risks and controls.   
  • Proactively develops and maintains professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and related control and support functions.
  • Communicates openly with GA management and internal stakeholders; keeps them informed on potential issues and escalates problems/delays promptly.
  • Delivers and sustains own performance against key objectives in the context of functional strategies.
  • Takes ownership of their own career development, seeking opportunities for continuous development personally to improve capabilities, performance and contribution to the team and the Bank.

You will have:

  • An in-depth knowledge and experience in Investment Banking and extensive internal auditing experience.
  • Professional credentials, including degree level education and a relevant professional qualification e.g. ACA/CFA.
  • Ability to adapt and deliver on Client and Senior Management’s delivery expectations.
  • Strong communication, presentation and inter-personal skills and ability to work within High Performing team and diverse work culture.
  • Project management and planning skills
  • A desire for personal development including his/her core skills (technical expertise and soft skills)
  • Able to demonstrate intellectual curiosity and can understand and evaluate risk.
  • Analytical with problem solving abilities and able to work in a fast-paced business environment.
