Who will you be joining?

Allianz SE Finance SimpliFi Run organization is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Chart of Accounts Analyst to join our Group Data Governance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the governance of the AZ Group Chart of accounts (CoA). This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, evaluating interdependencies and impact between reporting requirements and Group Chart of Account and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting structure. SimpliFi Run Data Governance team is in charge of Allianz Group common Master & Reference data and CoA management and contributes to safeguarding and evolution of the AZ Group Data Governance principles to enable the most cost-efficient delivery for Global Accounting & Reporting while meeting high quality expectations.

How can you make an impact?

You will: Develop Group Chart of Accounts expertise and assess Interdependencies:

Build and maintain expertise around the different areas within the Group Chart of Accounts (eg.: investment accounts, cost account)
Assess interdependencies within the Chart of accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy
Identify and manage the impact of changes to internal and external reports, and vice versa

Drive the content evaluation of Group Chart of Accounts updates:

Evaluate and challenge change requests for Group Chart of Accounts updates
Involve relevant stakeholders in the evaluation process to ensure comprehensive review and assessment

Manage the Group Chart of Accounts change request process:

Coordinate, manage and oversee the change request process, including sharing necessary guidance and documentation with relevant parties
Prepare for Chart of Accounts approval meetings, document outcomes, and communicate results to all stakeholders
Initiate maintenance in relevant systems
Compile and distribute a master data newsletter, involving relevant subject matter experts
Maintain clear and effective communication channels with all stakeholders

Contribute to the overall Group Data Governance strategy development:

Contribute to the development of other Master and Reference Data topics within the Data Governance team
Explore further potential for process optimization, harmonization and effectiveness while ensuring high service quality delivery to the different operating entities within AZ Group

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or / and internal / external reporting leading to a strong understanding of the chart of accounts and financial reporting interdependencies
Proficiency in financial systems and software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Confidence in complex tasks and problems resolution
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a multinational organization
Project management experience is beneficial
Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
