Your tasks and responsibilities
Support the development of state-of-the-art power electronics solutions for future aircraft.
Conducting trade-off studies to select optimal topologies, semiconductors, and switching frequencies for AC-DC converters.
Modeling selected semiconductors and control circuits, and developing simulation models in MATLAB.
Finalizing the bill of materials and developing schematics and PCB layouts in KiCAD.
Analyzing and concluding the conversion efficiency, specific power, and power density of the converter.
Collaborating effectively with the team through strong communication and supporting new ways of working, such as digitalization and AI.
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full-time master’s student in the area of Power Electronics, Power Engineering, or an equivalent field of study.
Strong knowledge of semiconductors and converter topologies.
Practical experience in power converter development is desirable.
Experience with MATLAB and KiCAD or similar schematic/layout tools is preferred.
Proficiency in Python and Google Scripts is appreciated.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German is a plus.
