Location
Our location is just a stone's throw away from Munich, the beautiful state capital of Bavaria. Do you like sports and other outdoor activities? The Alps and Lake Starnberg are just an hour away and offer a wide range of leisure activities.
Your regular place of work is Manching. Within the scope of your duties, you will be deployed at the Airbus Defense and Space location after your start at Airbus Protect until the end of the operational requirements. After your return, you will be deployed at your regular place of work.

This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.
Tasks and responsibilities
Deploy and implement Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methologies for e2e Equipment management
Connect system design and system verification across the life-cycle in close collaboration with other Process Method Tool & Data (PMTD) teams
Collaborating in define instructions, manuals, guidelines, handbooks, best practices, training materials, checklists, templates, customisation and tool usage for the MBSE methodologies
Connect the MBSE environment with Configuration Management and the Industrial Environment in order to support the complete integration and verification till the Type Certification
Collaborating in define and maintain the equipment data model
Optimize the integrated methodologies with the PMTD (Process Method Tool & Data) environment and implement standard engineering practices in the customer environment
Identify capability needs and setting up appropriate training concepts in collaboration with training organisations
Provide Equipment Management support for Engineering and Operation according to the customer requirements
Independent implementation of methods and processes and introduction of convincing suggestions for improvement
Preparation of required documentation and presentation of work results
Required qualification
The work task requires knowledge and skills, which are usually provided by a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Aerospace Engineering, System Engineering or equivalent and related subject-specific additional qualification or completed vocational training with a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.
Desired skills and competences
Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
Experienced with configuration management, mechanical installations, and supplier management
Familiar with ABD0200, ABD0100 and AP2763
Experience in equipment and software maturation, incl. DoA and Air worthiness from MS1 to MS4
Familiar with variant management and transfer from prototypes to serial aircraft
Good knowledge in Aircraft Systems and Interface Management, ASEP certification would be beneficial, CSEP certification a plus
Good knowledge of systems engineering and configuration management processes, methods, tools, and languages such as: Cameo System Modeller, ICDMS, DOORS, 3DX Enovia, Catia
Knowledge of ISO/IEEE 15288, ARP 4754A, DO178C, DO254, would be a plus
Very good coordination and excellent communication skills as well as assertiveness
Ability to work cross-functionally and in an international environment
Ability to build and maintain a network
Ability to work in a team – also remotely
Negotiation level in English and German. Knowledge in French and/or Spanish would be a plus
Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
