For CTC GmbH in Stade, we are looking for students for practical assignments (internships) and bachelor-/ master theses. The CTC GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus Operations GmbH. CTC is Germany's leading centre for research and development in the field of design and production of large and complex CFRP components; with an international reputation as an expert for process development, series readiness and production optimisation. The focus of the CTC's work is the development of series technologies for the production and assembly of CFRP components in aircraft construction. In the CTC, you can contribute to various projects in your area of focus and have a great deal of creative freedom. We look forward to receiving your application!
Location: Stade (Hamburg area)
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.
Work-life balance with a 35-hour week (flexitime).

Analysis of holistic Airbus business processes and workflows within the digital quality control of aircraft production (from design to shopfloor operation)
Insights into geolocation technologies, digital handheld measurement devices and industrial automation within smart assembly
Conceptual development of functions, tools and architectures for a digital end-to-end workflow for smart measurement systems
Integration of a proof of concept in an automated and connected model-factory
Validation of the end-to-end measurement concept on an exemplary production process and demonstration for industry partners
Regular professional exchange with colleagues in workshops and tech sessions
Insight and adaptation of future intelligent lightweight production technologies in aerospace
Course of study: studies with a background in mechanical/ mechatronical/ aerospace engineering; possibly software engineering,
Ideally, experience in industrial automation and software development
First experiences in CAx and measurement technologies
Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
High intrinsic motivation, teamwork and communication skills
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
Willingness to pass on own competences in a team and to exchange skills with each other
Language skills: Very good English and preferably good German skills
