The Red Hat IT-Enterprise Hardware Services (EHS) team is seeking an IT Intern to join our team in Brno, Czech Republic. The EHS team ensures the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our data centers and our critical compute infrastructure. We work closely with engineering and operations teams to proactively identify and resolve issues, automate repetitive tasks, and implement best practices for maintaining a highly available and scalable environment.

Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is July 1st.
What you will do:
Monitoring and Alerting: Create monitoring dashboards to proactively identify potential issues
Automation and Tooling: Create automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities.
Learning and Development: Actively participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
What you will bring:
You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Basic computing and server knowledge
Knowledge of various operating systems
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) is a plus
Ability to work well within a team
Scripting experience with Python, Bash
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) is a plus
