About the Job :
Red Hat’s Always Ready RHEL team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in development of Log Detective. In this role, you will be a part of a globally distributed team of engineers developing Log Detective, an AI system improving the building and testing experience of RHEL components.
What you will do:
Participate in the full development lifecycle, from design, implementation, and testing, to integrating Log Detective into the development pipeline and helping users onboard
Communicate and collaborate with teams at Red Hat located across different timezones
Participate in team meetings, suggest new tasks and review proposed pull requests from other team members
Research software components that could fit Log Detective
Create and maintain supporting documentation
Work closely with stakeholders and users
What you will bring:
Be comfortable with Python programming language
Experience with using containers for development and production
At least fundamental knowledge of Large Language Models
Experience with llama.cpp framework and OpenAI API is a big plus
Proactivity and ability to collaborate with other team members and effectively solve issues
Competence in troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
