Job Summary:
The OpenShift Virtualization team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer. In this role, you will work on industry-leading technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, KubeVirt, Libvirt, and Qemu to ensure that we produce the highest quality virtual machine storage capabilities. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests. You will make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including Virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and enterprise storage systems.

What you will do:
Design, develop, and maintain automation in Python with Pytest framework for OpenShift Virtualization testing and implementation.
Research new features, design test plans, and write test cases.
Execute manual and automated tests for OpenShift Virtualization and deliver clear status in a timely manner.
Conduct failure analysis, explore, identify, and document new bugs, advocate for the resolution of bugs, and communicate the impact on customers.
Coordinate cross-component teams to be responsible for bug verification, and regression testing.
Work in a fast-paced Agile global environment of talented Quality Engineers
Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies.
Provide mentoring and leadership to junior Quality Engineers
What you will bring:
2+ years of experience automating test cases in Python with Pytest framework.
2+ years of professional experience working in QE or similar roles.
Bachelor's degree (or higher, or equivalent in computer science or a related field).
Experience working with globally distributed team members.
Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.
Knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution).
Familiarity with Virtualization platforms and concepts.
Familiarity with Storage concepts (SAN, NAS), and storage APIs (clone snapshot, attach, detach)
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
The following are considered a plus:
Knowledge of Linux containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Red Hat OpenShift
Contributions to open-source projects or publicly available code samples
Knowledge of cloud services/providers (GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure etc.)
Knowledge of CI/CD and Jenkins
