As a Software Engineering Technician, you have to be a proactive attitude person and willingness to learn, tolerance to ambiguity and a motivated self-learner/self-starter and ability to apply new knowledge and quickly adapt to changes. Demonstrate discipline, organization skills and the ability to work under limited supervision. Capable of handling multiple assignments in a timely manner while meeting assigned deadlines.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships and/or work experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechatronic or Related.
2+ years of experience as technician in a Manufacturing and/or Maintenance Environment.
Experience with hardware startup, hardware and software installation and configuration, including the ability of hardware debug.
Testing, repairing, and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment using available schematics, technical data, and test equipment.
Interpret complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system repair manuals.
Apply the use of mechanical and/or electrical measuring devices such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, metrology, and calibration equipment.
Knowledge with Windows software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of Electronics (analog and digital circuitry).
Intermediate English level: Oral and written. (B1 minimum level)
Candidate must have permanent unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic PCB soldering rework skills.
Ability to understand test plans, schematics, and board PCB artwork.
Linux, Windows and MAC-OS based computer operating systems.
Network troubleshooting.
Lab safety knowledge.
Experience with network (CISCO certification - CCNA/CCNP).
Experience using software tools to validate computer performance, such as benchmarks.
