Details of the Division and Team

Technology plays a critical role in Deutsche Bank's transformation. To ensure we will deploy technology and digital solutions in a substantially more comprehensive manner across the bank, Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) has been established as one technology division for the bank, driving an integrated IT, data, and security agenda across the bank. The function is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing.

In Support of our local businesses, Technology Data Innovation (TDI) provides the IT operations and management including (1) Application Support;  (2) Infrastructure Operations; (3) End User Support, in all local business centers across the globe. TDI reduces the complexity in support of the business.

Your key responsibilities 

Working as part of the Production Services team, the role and responsibilities include: 

  • Manage and support applications production environment

  • Support regulatory reporting and application registration process

  • Review and support implementation of Production change

  • Monitor and review applications production alerts, and to take appropriate actions, if necessary

  • Manage/support production incident involving application supported and perform necessary communications & escalations to stakeholders

  • Review delivery by vendor to ensure solution is proper and in accordance with DB standards

  • Track and monitor vendor delivery to ensure all issues & bug fixes are resolved in timely manner

  • Ensure all issues/problems/incidents are logged, reviewed and closed in reasonable time

  • Address all system gaps (reported or self-identified) are prioritized and closed accordingly

  • Support DR/BCM, TRC & audit related activities

  • Monitor H/W, S/W, application components health regularly, review and take appropriate actions eg. Morning checks, and any routine checks, etc

  • Liaise with various IT teams (both application and infrastructure) for any issue which impacts application production environment and its infrastructure

  • Participate and support DR & HA planning and execution

  • Where required, be prepared to go on job rotation within team after familiarizing with current job/responsibilities

Your skills and experience

  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting banking/financial applications

  • Working knowledge and support experience on banking applications in China

  • Experience in working with vendor, and vendor management

  • Conversant with both Chinese and English language

  • Ability to work against tight deadlines & fast paced environment

  • Ability to work on weekend and odd hours to support production change/issue/incident as and when required

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (ie. a team player)

  • Able to challenge and provide sound judgment to technical solutions
