Business Financial Performance and profitability • Drive revenue growth and grow market share against budgets and targets under overall Supply Chain products development, including pre-shipment and post shipment product design, maintenance and development as well as the collaboration with 3rd party platforms. • Set pricing strategy, guidelines and approval governance. • Ensure fit-for-purpose, fit-for-growth, fit-for-sale products
Product Management and Development • Drive innovation, remain up-to-date on key product trend, and ensure collaboration across other product groups in TB and SCB • Ongoing digitisation including e-penetration strategies and platform collaboration • Create a market and client feedback loop to ensure that buyer behaviour is well understood and appropriate enhancements made to products and services. • Remain up-to-date on the competitive environment with a clear view of external capabilities benchmarking and respond to the consequent opportunities or threats identified. • Provide training and education of overall Supply Chain related products across the bank and participate specific project team including both internal and external ones to ensure market leadership and implication. . Commercialization • Responsible for commercialization of Supply Chain related products and platform collaboration related supply chain finance programs by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for it launch • Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs ensuring delivery of Trade. • Provide ongoing support and training to Trade Sales, CMs, & RMs to provide assistance to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals. • For the trade products assigned, improve processes for better customer experience resulting in growth in trade revenue in line with the CAs and PPG. • Ensure all assigned product initiatives are closed within the agreed timeline.
Processes • Drive end to end product performance, such as efficiency, straight-through processing, turnaround times, and ensuring scalability of growth • Create product propositions aligned to client segment strategy and commercialize such product with frontline.
Risk Management • Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to Trade. • Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition • Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks.
Accountable for financial and non-financial risks arising from Trade product within China Trade & Working Capital Loan as product owner within the product management discipline, to execute independent risk management roles and responsibilities under the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management framework as delegated from the business product owner in this JD.
Governance
1. Monitor and manage financial risks arising from Trade product within China Trade & Working Capital Loan a. Ensure Trade product structures are appropriate to the level of client risk b. Supervise material principal risks red flags that arise in the transaction flow and engage on any material issues arising to support timely / robust risk management. c. Drive to optimise risk and returns d. Support portfolio exercises (e.g. portfolio reviews) as required, keep a view over and help manage large concentrations of risk in your Trade portfolio (e.g. large facilities / weaker clients) e. Engage on clients that become stressed, support development and implementation of recovery strategies
2. Monitor and manage the non-financial risks arising from the delivery and operationalisation of the Trade product [region/product/portfolio] a. Support identification and closure of Material Risk Events, Elevated Residual Risks, audit issues and their action plans within the end to end Trade Process Universe b. Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to Trade. c. Keep oversight of the operational activities underpinning the product, and intervene/escalate to ensure continued effectiveness of controls environment if needed d. Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition e. Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks.
