Exciting Opportunity: Technical Sales Specialist (T3) 

As a Technical Sales Specialist you will partner with Sales and Nurture to follow potential customers through the entire sales process. You will assist on the best strategy for next steps, and eventually winning the business.  

You will assist with discovery and implementing best strategy to ensure a successful presentation and demonstration to the potential customer. From occasionally working with the Nurture team on the initial sales qualifying call (aka SQL call), through subsequent cover the bases/process calls, demos and due diligence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building strategic relationships, understanding the clients’ unique needs and pain points, and matching problems with solutions. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Accurately and succinctly demonstrate the complexities of Verafin's Financial Crime Management platform for SMB customers and prospects (FIs under $5B in assets)  

  • Work with our Sales teams to prepare product presentations, as well as demo agenda 

  • Partner with various internal teams across the business to create a seamless experience for prospective customers  

  • Prepare and present integration/technical requirements to potential customers  

  • Maintain an understanding of the financial regulatory software industry and be able to effectively demonstrate our unique value proposition  

  • Collaborate with other sales team members by bringing forward innovative ideas in team meetings and discussions  

What We’re Looking For : 

  • An understanding of software application and data integrations while having the ability to discuss technical challenges and solutions  

  • A passion for talking to our customers, helping to 'peel the onion' to uncover problems they may be having  

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills  

  • Ability to interface with multiple levels within a customer's organization (c-suite, decision makers, users)   

  • An understanding of the banking compliance industry, and the fraud landscape  

  • Excellent time management, collaboration, problem solving and prioritization skills      

  • Experience with Salesforce reports and dashboards would be considered an asset

  • Providing high value to your peers on the sales team, and our clients, via technical knowledge, and mapping client criteria to our solutions   

  • Helping the sales team continue to improve, and win more opportunities  

  • Selling with integrity to ensure a smooth transition for Onboarding and Customer Success teams.

This position can be located in St. John’s or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in office), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
