The Senior Financial Analyst, Global Accounting Shared Services is responsible for supporting the Global finance projects and operational accounting teams. This includes supporting centralized accounting and reporting processes, working on initiatives to centralize, standardize and streamline processes, and other ad hoc tasks as required. The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity, creativity and a willingness to learn about new tools and existing processes. It will also be important to build strong relationships with finance teams Globally, in order to partner with them as we work toward our goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on process improvement opportunities across a variety of different functions and teams.
  • Provide valuable insights, analysis and recommendations to support both existing processes and in-flight projects.
  • Support Global accounting and reporting processes including accounting, reporting and internal controls.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance or improve current processes while balancing the needs of the end users to ensure a high level of satisfaction and adoption.
  • Develop working relationships with the various Segment and BU teams, as well as with internal CoE and technology partners.
  • Be able to manage competing priorities and drive solutions to completion.
  • Apply a continuous learning mindset in order to stay informed about finance tools and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion or working towards an accounting (CPA) designation.
  • University degree in business, finance, or equivalent.
  • Strong social skills with the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence optimally.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, particularly in the area of using sound, independent judgement, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Results-oriented, able to handle expectations, work under tight timelines and handle contending priorities.
  • Strong eye for business with ability to communicate sophisticated financial concepts and results in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner (verbal & written).
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and deliver new/innovative improvements to the financial processes.
  • Excellent customer focus and dedication to quality.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Alteryx and Power Apps would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
