How will you contribute:

Collaborating with the Manager, IT Asset Management; the analyst will ensure that hardware assets are accurately onboarded, deployed, discovered, and populated in the Asset Management Database (AMDB)/Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Hardware assets will be effectively tracked throughout each stage of the lifecycle to be re-harvested, or decommissioned following ITAD standard processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of assets, including servers, desktops, laptops, network equipment, virtual, cloud, and container-based assets across all stages of their lifecycle.

  • Track all hardware asset inventories globally from acquisition to decommission.

  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers for hardware purchase, warranty, and maintenance.

  • Partner with IT Configuration Management to populate and update the configuration management database with accurate information.

  • Liaise with other groups, such as software asset management, configuration management, network, and information security, and all business segments for seamless asset management.

  • Govern and audit the ITAD process to ensure accurate and responsible decommission, disposal, destruction, recycling, and harvesting of hardware during its lifecycle.

  • Perform inventory checks, validations and attestations of all hardware classes to ensure completeness, correctness and compliance with ITAM and risk standards.

  • Manage and produce real time, on-demand hardware reports, metrics etc. via dashboards in ITAM tools.

  • Manage and resolve intake requests, incidents and inquiries related to hardware lifecycle management.

  • Initiating forensic investigations and reviews of hardware assets to uncover non-compliance, policy and process breaches, reduce risk, and remediate issues.

  • Using industry standard ITAM tools such as ServiceNow SAM/HAM, ServiceNow CMDB, and other tools.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum (3+) years of experience with IT asset management, licensing, software sales, software auditing firms, hardware asset management, procurement, or software purchasing.

  • Strong knowledge of hardware asset life cycle management processes including planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, decommission, and disposal.

  • Strong knowledge utilizing and/or implementing asset management tools, including automated discovery configuration tools and processes (ServiceNow, SCCM, etc.)

  • Good understanding of API’s and integrations that support asset discovery.

  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, mainly Ham Pro.

  • IT Asset Manager certification (CHAMP) preferred.

Must Haves:

  • ITIL Knowledge and hardware asset management experience.

  • Knowledge managing and promoting data quality, integrity, and security of ITAM and CMDB repositories.

  • Skills in analyzing CMDB data to highlight anomalies and errors and to find opportunities for improvement.

  • Experience working with configuration item (CI) owners to define remediation plans.

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
