The Global HR Data Governance and Security team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Data Governance and Security, the HR Data Governance Specialist will develop and enforce governance policies, data quality standards, and stewardhip processes to maintain data consistency and accuracy. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on tool usage and data governance leading practices. Utilizes data tools to profile data, identify discrepancies, and execute cleansing procedures for enhanced data quality. This role will primarily focus on our Workday HRIS, requiring strong Workday configuration and cross-functional HR domain expertise.
Given the complex integrations and integrated HR ecosystem, this role will be responsible for assessing interoperability impacts across the various systems, processes, and data transfer to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within HR systems. This individual will play a critical role in leveraging advanced technical expertise to drive improvements.
This full-time, hybrid role requires global expertise and understanding of local and regulatory considerations when designing and implementing solutions and be expected to manage multiple concurrent projects, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and lead expectations and impact on end users.
Position Responsibilities :
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within all HR systems, in alignment with company policies and legal and regulatory requirements.
Identifies bottlenecks in internal data processes and works to resolve them by automating processes and optimizing data delivery and storage.
Implements data monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address data issues.
Provide training and support to HR team members on the effective use of HR technology tools and platforms to improve data integrity.
Drive innovation and advocacy for technology use to enhance the employee experience and serve as a data expert in Workday and other HR technologies to support applying new advancements to support the organization's vision and strategy.
Develop and implement new HR technology solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
Partner with key internal customers to enhance activities and troubleshoot any data issues or opportunities
Provide support from a data perspective for creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards in various HR tools
Develop and maintain detailed configuration and standard operating procedures
Assist with impact assessments, regression testing, and communication plans
Stay abreast of the latest advancements and opportunities regarding data management within the suite of HR technologies.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on technical configuration and technology implementation experience across HR technology applications including HRIS (Workday), ATS, performance management, learning systems and other HR technology platforms.
5+ years of HR domain expertise with a particular concentration across data management and security.
Experience working in a large global organization and delivering solutions under tight timelines.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information within data privacy standards.
Demonstrated technical, strategic, and consultative skills, with the ability to develop forward-thinking solutions to address complex problems and risks.
Experience with project management, human center design principles and change management approaches in support of HR technology initiatives.
Persuasive communication and influencing skills across cross functional internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
Advanced to expert level Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Other HRIS configuration experience is helpful
Experience with ADP, Phenom, Cornerstone, Edcast an asset
Experience with JIRA, Salesforce, ServiceNow or similar applications is an asset
Experience working in an agile environment is an asset
Exceptional customer service, communication, and relationship building skills
Strong technical acumen, logic, judgment, and decision making
Initiative and willingness to build skills in new areas
Solid understanding of data analysis and interpretation
Demonstrated consulting experience and ability to influence

Salary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
