As a Cloud Database Administrator, you will be the backbone of our cloud-based database servers, ensuring seamless coordination and implementation of systems, software, and services. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high standards for upgrades, problem tracking, management, and resolution. We are looking for someone with a strong background in relational databases, technical expertise with PostgreSQL/MySQL and AWS RDS, knowledge of Linux environments, proficiency in automation across multiple platforms, and experience with DevOps tools, operational monitoring, and alerting.If you are a proactive thinker who consistently brings new ideas to the table and thrives on process improvements, while being able to adapt quickly to meet business needs, then this is the perfect role for you. What You'll Do:

Perform administration of database servers in cloud based environments

Coordination and implementation of systems, software, and services

Ensuring standards are applied for all upgrades, problem tracking, management and resolution

Formulates recommendations and performs testing, change control, installation, integration, diagnostic analysis and return to service of the environment

Develops and coordinates system and procedural documentation

Activities such as daily backups, performance tuning, security additions/changes/removals, security policy implementation, data access controls, configuration/patch management, risk management, change control administration and AWS cloud automation

Work with product engineering, supporting, maintaining, and designing storage infrastructure for Nasdaq Verafin products

Handling infrastructure-based projects

Technical and personnel leadership

What We're Looking For:

Experience with relational databases

Technical experience with the following technologies: PostgresSQL/MySQL, AWS RDS

Knowledge of Linux environments

Proficient in automation across multiple platforms

Experience with DevOps tools, operational monitoring, and alerting

Consistently bringing new ideas to the team and working on process improvements

Must be able to think and adapt quickly to meet business needs

What Success Looks like:

Understanding the goals of the team while using problem solving skills

Developing cloud-based services that have good uptime, health, and security
