We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic Manulife Bank Service Delivery Management (SDM) team. The SRE will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. This role involves working closely with development and operations colleagues to build and maintain scalable and resilient systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and tools to support the reliability and scalability of our services.
Collaborate with development colleagues to ensure that applications are designed with scale and reliability in mind.
Monitor system performance and solve issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
Implement and handle disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2 to 5 years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., New Relic, Grafana, ADX).
Experience with Power Platform tools; in particular Power BI.
Experience with ITIL and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github).
Familiarity with security protocols and compliance standards.
Knowledge of networking and security protocols.

Salary range is expected to be between
$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
