Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related courses
- Strong knowledge of Corporate Finance
- 1+ year of experience working in Investment Banking, or related areas, with specific experience performing detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses on public and private companies
- Strong research, data management, analytical and quantitative skills
- Detail oriented with focus on high-quality deliverables
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend its validity
- Adaptability, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
- Ability to comfortably interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in a professional and mature manner
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Ability to work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today’s environment
- Working proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point
Job Responsibilities
- Assist on the preparation of detailed materials for pitches and M&A transactions
- Perform industry and company specific research, and strategic analysis
- Build sophisticated financial analysis and models applying corporate finance, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods and principles to evaluate mergers and acquisitions, financings, and equity raising transactions
- Execution of M&A transactions, supporting due diligence, document and material preparation and liaising with internal and external parties (e.g., legal, accountants, counterparties)
- Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact of clients and lead bankers
- Issue reports of client interactions and discussions to senior management and maintain ongoing communication
- Appropriately assessment of risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the bank’s reputation and safeguarding Deutsche Bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
