About the job:
The Red Hat Commercial Legal team is looking for a Legal Intern to join us in São Paulo, Brazil. In this role, you will work on a regional team of lawyers and contract specialists to support the Red Hat sales and procurement teams in structuring, negotiating, and closing contracts. You will also collaborate with our Finance and Marketing teams and assist the Red Hat Latin America Regional Counsel with other legal functions.
We will need you to be passionate about technology, with a proven ability to creatively solve complex problems while providing explanations and solutions that are both sound and clearly communicated.
What you will do:
· Support Red Hat’s Latin America Legal team in its responsibilities, including
· Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, professional services statements of work, master services, and software subscription agreements and partner agreements for resellers, distributors, and cloud providers
· Structure and negotiate agreements for sales (direct and channel) for Red Hat’s software subscriptions and consulting services offerings
· Support our Sales team
· Work with other teams to resolve contractual issues
What you will bring:
· Third-year law student, with planned graduation in 2026/2027
· Demonstrated interests in software, information technology, high-tech, open source business, products and transactions, or intellectual property or related legal issues
· Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills
· Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure at the same time
· Familiarity with the high-tech industry preferred
· Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese; to be evaluated during the interview process
· Fluent Spanish language skills are a plus
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, characterized by rapid business growth and a changing technology and business landscape
