Job Description

About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communication Channels Specialist to join our team!

As our Communications Channels Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in executing SEEK's APAC Corporate Communications Strategy, driving our strategic objectives through targeted and impactful communication channels initiatives.

Responsibilities 

Your responsibilities will include managing SEEKernet, our flagship intranet platform, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub of information and collaboration. From crafting compelling content to guiding stakeholders and conducting data-driven analyses, you'll shape and continually improve this important communications platform. Additionally, you'll manage and champion continuous improvement across diverse channels like our weekly news publication, Slack, and Town Hall forums, supported by a collaborative team committed to excellence and innovation. 

  • You will lead the day-to-day management of SEEK’s APAC-wide intranet, SEEKernet, which includes maintaining the platform, building pages, creating content and being the ‘go-to’ for intranet questions. 
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to create content, including proactively identifying content gaps and sourcing information. 
  • Partner with intranet content editors across the business and develop self-service guides, training programs and support ongoing upskilling of this group. 
  • Maintain the quality and relevancy of intranet content through regular audits and strong governance. 
  • Support the continuous improvement of other corporate communication channels, such as our weekly news publication, Slack and Town Halls. 
  • Lead on the team’s continuity planning responsibilities with regular testing and training on crisis communications platforms. 
  • Produce metrics and insight reports to inform stakeholders and help the Corporate Communications team to continually refine its approach.  

Qualifications

Skills and experience 

To be successful in this role you will have a mature, thoughtful work ethic and a positive, proactive attitude. Being flexible in your thinking and comfortable in receiving feedback is important. You will work amongst a team of hard-working, fun, and caring people who will support you to have a successful and fulfilling career at SEEK.  

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Experience with SharePoint intranets is advantageous 
  • Experience with corporate communications channels (such as Slack, internal email platforms, emergency communications platforms) would be preferred, but not essential 
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills, so you can deliver to tight deadlines 
  • Outstanding attention to detail
