Be a part of the Financial Risk Platform Engineering Chapter, where you’ll create, manage and optimise the platforms used to power our entire business, and perform application support. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster and more secure.Bring your expertise in AWS, DevSecOps, automation and platform engineering to shape up the future of Risk. 

We’re interested in hearing from people with:

• Extensive experience in Cloud Platform Engineering or a similar role within a DevSecOps environment.

• Proven track record of building resilient, highly available systems with an automation-first mindset.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Hands-on experience with application support and maintenance.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

• Demonstrable experience of delivering change effectively using Scrum.

• A passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies.

• Experience using GenAI to maximise their impact to the team. 

Tech skills

We use various tools, languages, and frameworks. While you may not know them all, our Senior Platform Engineer should have diverse strengths and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

• Advanced experience in Platform Engineering or a similar role within a DevSecOps environment.

• Advanced experience with AWS, CloudFormation, Docker, EKS/Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Advanced experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Octopus Deploy.

• Advanced proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Korn, etc.).

• Advanced proficiency with at least one programming language (Python).

• Hands-on experience packaging in-house and vendor proprietary applications into containers.

• Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus), including configuration.

• Demonstrable strong and proactive analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Pride in building resilient, highly available systems with an automation-first mindset.
