Senior MCA Technology and Operations Manager 

About the business and your team

The MCA Strategy, Technology and Operations team is part of the broader Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) team. It is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the MCA strategy, technology and operations of the function. 

We are responsible for evaluation, implementation and management of MCA’s technology systems, processes and opportunities to increase speed to market, enhance customer experience, improve business performance, reduce risk and deliver operational excellence.   

Your team is Operations and Technology (Ops & Tech). Our purpose is to enable better customer and business outcomes by driving efficiency, effectiveness and by mitigating risk through managing centralised high-level marketing processes, implementing and optimising MCA MarTech, and providing expertise and support for delivery of prioritised technology initiatives. 

Role Summary

The key area of focus for this role is to provide day-to-day management, support and continuous improvement for marketing’s technology (MarTech) platforms, and to support our teams to proficiently use these platforms to meet process, risk and business objectives. The role requires a blend of technical proficiency, problem solving, critical thinking and excellent communications skills, plus a customer service mindset and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work. 

Do work that matters

  • Support the delivery of the MCA Technology and Operations team’s prioritised quarterly objectives and key results
  • Management, system support and optimisation of Adobe Workfront & DAM (Digital Asset Management) platforms to maintain usability, stability and resilience and meet business needs
  • Partner with Marketing, Technology, 3rd Party Suppliers, Procurement, Risk and Change Management to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Manage and support MarTech platform users’ needs whilst driving the adoption of best practices, including supporting the MCA Technology and Operations Manager to triage, track and resolve the Ops & Tech mailbox and support tickets
  • Drive Workfront & DAM user adoption and proficiency. Optimise training materials, deliver training sessions and support new and existing users, ensuring they are equipped to utilise the systems effectively
  • Create and manage reports and dashboards to support Ops & Tech, Risk, Marketing and other user groups
  • Help support operations and technology related Governance and risk control testing
  • Identify and manage related Continuous Improvement and Risk items
  • Manage 3rd party supplier re-contracting, risk assessments and service management requirements, in partnership with Procurement, Technology and Risk teams
  • Manage and work with 3rd Party Adobe BAU support team
  • Review, prepare and perform business verification testing for MarTech platform releases. Implement new functionality and communicate new features
  • Support your team and the business on any other technology and operations related initiatives as required.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • 5+ years in a Marketing Technology/Marketing Operations role and/or experience drawn from a variety of disciplines including MarTech, marketing, operational process, risk and customer/technical support
  • 5+ Years experience in stakeholder management from multiple disciplines within a complex organisation
  • Strong technical acumen and experience using critical thinking and good judgement to problem solve
  • Proven experience working with Marketing Technology, experience using Adobe Workfront and Adobe Digital Asset Management (DAM) or other Marketing Resource Management (MRM) platform preferred
  • An ability to prioritise workload effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and deliver solutions in a busy Agile environment
  • Proven experience with, and knowledge of, marketing and campaign activity and associated process and procedures, knowledge of electronic 1:1 communication process an advantage
  • Proven experience to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Supplier engagement and management, including re-contracting
  • High quality verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clear and actionable requirements
  • A growth mindset, high levels of resilience and personal integrity, with strong interpersonal, collaboration and influencing skills
  • A desire to help and support others to achieve optimal outcomes, with previous experience providing support preferred
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of risk and risk management
  • Experience in CBA Systems and processes desirable
  • Workfront certification or Workfront System Admin experience an advantage
