About BB Line 1 Risk Chapter

Our BB Line 1 Risk Chapter collaborates closely with Product teams to help them achieve their strategic objectives, with a focus on achieving NPS +30. In this role, you will support the Everyday Business Banking Domain in executing their end-to-end responsibility for the management and oversight of risks across their product and services to deliver good customer outcomes with a particular focus on third party risk. Your responsibilities include identifying, understanding, and effectively managing risks to ensure the business is operating within Group risk appetite.

Make a meaningful impact

As a Senior Manager Risk and Controls Supplier, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the mitigation of third-party risks through appropriate onboarding, in-life management and offboarding, as well as ensuring adherence to the Group Supplier Lifecycle Framework. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to broader BB-wide supplier risk and governance initiatives. More broadly, you’ll ensure Business Owners and BB meet the Group and regulatory requirements in relation to third party management.  

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a proactive risk culture through collaboration with business partners, Procurement and Line 2 teams, shaping the optimal approach to third-party risk management and change matters.

  • Advise on all aspects of third-party lifecycle and governance activities including supporting Business Owners with risk advice on various risk assessments.

  • Design and implementation of controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes. This includes proactively identify opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and controls through continuous improvements.

  • Uphold data quality in key systems (e.g. RiskInSite, SRG) providing essential support to business partners in governing, overseeing and managing third party risks.

  • Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations and operations within risk appetite, including ensuring risks (including emerging risks) are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and updated when risk trigger events occur.

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Procurement and supplier management: prior experience or exposure advising and or managing third party arrangements.

  • Risk and Compliance mindset: sound to advance knowledge and experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks; ability to analyse/identify risks and recommend appropriate actions; and knowledge of the regulatory environment.

  • Effective stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships and manage a large group of stakeholders with conflicting priorities; ability to partner with the business to understand risk as an enabler for growth and success.

  • Business Acumen: understanding of the business and its strategic priorities.

  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and different levels of seniority.
