With over 20 years’ experience in workers compensation claims management, a unique opportunity exists to join a new DXC team. DXC are currently partnering with a reputable Government Health Organsiation, setting up their Wokers' Compensation Department and would love you to join the team as a Senior Case Manager. 

The Senior Case Manager will be responsible for coordinating medical care, facilitating the return-to-work process, managing claims, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key elements to this role include

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Review medical records, adjuster notes, and reports to assess the status of the claim and ensure proper care is being provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, legal counsel, and injured employees to ensure optimal care and return-to-work outcomes.
  • Work closely with treating physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and other medical professionals to develop return-to-work plans and ensure that injured employees are progressing toward recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal workers’ compensation laws, including reporting and record-keeping requirements.
  • Monitor employee progress and adjust plans as necessary to support full recovery and return to regular duties.
  • Ensure that all claims are handled in compliance with state and federal workers' compensation regulations.
  • Serve as a resource and provide guidance to injured workers, supervisors, and management on workers’ compensation-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior case managers, sharing best practices and providing support for complex cases.

To be successful

  • Experience as a Senior Case Manager with the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme, ideally in Return to Work, Long-Term Case Management or Mental Injury Claims.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 
  • Outstanding customer service skills. 
  • Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Ability to work with different IT applications.
  • Experience assessing and determining liability on claims. 
  • Preparing for, attending and performing at claims reviews highlighting your excellent claims strategies, results and communicating further with your stakeholders. 
  • Assist workers in returning to work and manage chronic ill health through person-centred case management. 
  • Ensure entitlements to compensation are made appropriately and timely
