Senior Analyst – Institutional Banking & Markets Credit Risk Management

  • We’re a team driven to push the boundaries and provide solutions to our Global Bank counterparties.
  • You want to work in a highly collaborative team environment, where the focus is on personal growth.
  • Together we can help reach our goals in an ever-changing environment.

Do work that matters

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be working individually and across the team to manage a diverse portfolio of Global Bank customers.  As a Senior Analyst in the team, you will play a key role in monitoring and managing the risk appetite for this growth segment within the broader Financial Institutions Risk Group (FIG Risk) within IB&M Risk.

The Bank and Securitisation Risk Team is responsible for the Risk management of a diverse portfolio of Global and Domestic Banks, plus Diversified Financial companies and Securitisation vehicles. The team works closely with internationally active segments within IB&M, ensuring authorised frameworks and systems are effectively used in the management of risk and credit decisions to achieve an optimum outcome for the Group and our customers.

Day to day you can expect to

  • Analyse, interpret, prepare, and review credit papers across a diverse global portfolio.
  • Use internal and external data to monitor risks, assess the impact of counterparty specific and macroeconomic risks on our clients and recommend strategies to minimise risk.
  • Support senior risk managers to ensure transaction or portfolio credit risks are identified, managed, measured, monitored, and reported.
  • Work with front line colleagues to understand customer strategies and support growth opportunities.
  • Help re-design processes and reporting to make our insights more accessible and impactful to a wider range of stakeholders.

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Experience analysing and writing about credit risk for a senior audience.
  • Understanding of credit risk for markets products, lending products and commodities.
  • A proactive mindset to seek out problems and find solutions.
  • Solid time management and prioritisation skills; and ability to work under guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with experience using data and visualisations to drive insights.
  • Proven ability in developing collaborative working relationships across internal functions.
  • High levels of curiosity and a willingness to innovate to find solutions to challenges.

If this sounds like the role for you then we would love to hear from you. Apply today!
