With over 20 years’ experience in workers compensation claims management, a unique opportunity exists to join a new DXC team. DXC are currently partnering with a reputable Government Health Organsiation, setting up their Wokers' Compensation Department and would love you to join the team as an Injury Management Advisor.

In the role of an Injury Management Advisor, you will be providing strategic advice to Case Managers on establishing appropriate medical strategies, developing robust treatment plans and developing sound return to work plans. You will be responsible for ensuring treatment actions are completed within the agreed timeframes and medical treatment requests are responded too within legislative timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Influence health and occupational rehabilitation providers in relation to the appropriateness of treatment and adherence to scheme principles
  • Drive rehabilitation provider to achieve the required outcomes
  • Review and determine appropriate treatment in line with clinical frameworks
  • Provide needs-based services to people with work-related injuries to achieve the best possible outcome and durable independence for that individual
  • Ensure tasks and activities are followed through as set out in case conferencing
  • Assist in the development of strategies
  • Meet with workers and treaters in coordinating and managing workers’ claims 

To be successful

  • Sound Medical knowledge
  • At least two years’ experience in workplace-based rehabilitation, with a preference for a degree in a medical or health-related field; (desirable)
  • Extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injury.
  • Teamwork with coaching and mentoring experience
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to interpret and implement decision according to the rules and regulations
  • Intermediate computer skills
