We don’t sit back and wait for the future to happen, we are out there crafting our own path through new technology, innovation, and investment. We are truly a challenger brand, with challenger spirit.

We're looking for a Campaign Analyst to join our team, someone who will play a crucial role in delivering essential Mandatory and Regulatory communications to our customer base through the Next Best Action (NBA) platform, Pega. Working within the Campaign Analytics team, this role is focused on ensuring that critical information reaches the right customers at the right time, through the right channels — from initial analysis and idea development to assessing campaign performance and providing business recommendations for optimisation across both inbound and outbound channels.

Working closely with key business partners, the Campaign Analyst will identify and articulate business challenges, capture requirements, and design and implement campaigns that align with strategic goals. You will also lead post-campaign analysis to assess impact and make data-driven recommendations that improve future performance and drive measurable outcomes.

Ready to reimagine your career at Optus?

  • Design, build, and implement customer campaigns and propositions using Alteryx and PEGA Marketing, applying best practices, and test-and-learn methods to improve campaign speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Translate marketing requirements into actionable propositions and analytical tasks, ensuring structured planning and efficient problem-solving in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Conduct data and customer analysis to evaluate campaign and product impacts on key business outcomes such as retention, providing timely and accurate insights.
  • Present clear, structured recommendations based on consolidated insights into customer behaviour, market trends, and campaign performance, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and feedback.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to team productivity, reviewing peer work for quality assurance, maintaining a central knowledge base, and ensuring clear documentation for audit readiness.

It starts with you!

  • Relevant professional qualifications in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or IT (postgraduate qualifications desirable) with proven experience in Campaign Management and/or Analytics, preferably within the Telco or service industries.
  • Strong SQL and database skills (e.g. Oracle, Teradata), experience using NBA platforms like Pega for campaign execution, and familiarity with advanced analytics, modelling techniques, and reporting tools such as Tableau. Alteryx experience would be a bonus.
  • Solid understanding of campaign decisioning platforms (particularly Pega), and knowledge of Australian privacy and regulatory requirements related to customer data use; Pega Marketing or Decisioning certification is advantageous. Salesforce or similar experience would also be highly valued.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyse data, identify key business insights, and translate them into actionable strategies that enhance customer experience and drive business value.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, planning, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to perform effectively under pressure to meet desired outcomes.

The good stuff …

  • 3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suit!
  • Inclusive paid parental leave, up to 14 weeks for the primary care giver
  • All Optus employees have access to resources, webinars and support via the ‘Parents at Work portal’
  • Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator led learning catalogue.
  • Connect at work through our employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans, Yarn Network, Wellbeing Network and Young Professionals.
  • Vibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post office
  • Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon!
