Our BB Line 1 Risk Chapter partners with Product teams to help them achieve their strategic goals, with a focus on achieving NPS30+. The Risk Chapter is responsible for ensuring appropriate end to end risk management that facilitate well informed business decisions. This is achieved by identifying, understanding, and effectively managing risk, including emerging risks.
The effective design and implementation of controls, ensuring operational risk & compliance frameworks are effectively implemented within the business. Finally, business stakeholders have appropriate oversight and governance of the risk and control environment.

The Risk and Controls Line 1 Manager is responsible for supporting Everyday Business Banking in safely delivering changes in products and processes to meet customer needs. This is achieved by designing and implementing controls that drive better risk and compliance outcomes.
In addition to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and controls through continuous improvements. You will also support identification, understanding and management of incidents and issues, including deep dive reviews and insights to prevent recurrence.
This role will report to the Line 1 Risk Chapter Lead, Everyday Business Banking Domain Non-Financial Risk in the Business Banking Chief Controls Office.
Impact and Role Contribution:
This role will be responsible for ensuring new, existing and changing processes are assessed, awareness is raised and risk mitigations are in place. This is achieved through effective design and implementation of controls. More broadly, partner, coach and advise business in management of risk and compliance obligations.
Your Responsibilities:

Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business.
Partner with the business to manage risks, compliance obligations and operations within risk appetite, including ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile (RCSA) and updated when risk trigger events occur.
Responsible for the design and implementation of controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes. This includes proactively identify opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of business processes and controls through continuous improvements.
Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents (including issues identified through audits and external processes), and implementing control improvements to address the identified gaps.
Responsible for data quality in/maintain various databases (including RiskInSite) and monthly management reporting.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in financial services sector and / or data and technology experience
Sounds knowledge and experience in risk management, control or assurance function. Knowledge in data and technology domains highly regarded.
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, and/or other related major.
