The Senior Manager, Workplace Services Events will lead all event activities across our ANZ properties, with a primary focus on our premier specialty spaces at Salesforce Tower Sydney. These spaces include a state-of-the-art Auditorium, the Ohana 3-floor village, Level 51 outdoor terrace, campus-wide employee social lounges, a dedicated lobby space, and the Salesforce Innovation Centre in collaboration with our Marketing teams.Creating meaningful connections through events among customers, guests, visitors, and employees is vital to accelerating our business and reinforcing Salesforce values. This role requires strong stakeholder relationship management, ensuring event success through world-class hospitality. Experience in executive-level customer engagement and leadership interaction is essential to delivering a five-star event experience.The Manager, Events is responsible for overseeing and supporting all event vendors, employees, and contractors within the Event and Guest Services team. Collaboration with the Senior Facilities Manager is crucial to ensure seamless alignment across Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS). This position fosters a high-performance culture that emphasises achievement, teamwork, and continuous support.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Curation: Design and execute strategic events that bring together customers, non-profits, guests, and employees to drive engagement, collaboration, and business success.
Executive Engagement: Ensure high-quality, premier event experiences for executive-level stakeholders, reinforcing Salesforce’s premium brand image.
Financial Management: Own and manage event budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial efficiency.
Communication & Storytelling: Develop event narratives that highlight Salesforce’s culture and innovation, enhancing stakeholder engagement.
Data & Analytics: Use Tableau dashboards to track event performance, measure impact, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Training & Development: Lead continuous training for the Guest Services and Events team on Meeting & Events (M&E) App enhancements and Slack workflows.
Vendor & Team Management: Oversee coordination of event vendors, employees, and contractors to ensure seamless event execution.
Collaboration & Partnership: Align with REWS teams and business units, ensuring events adhere to global security, safety, and compliance standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Internal Communications, and HR, to execute company-wide events and initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements in event management, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with company goals.
Global & Local Engagement: Support global events at the local level, including Company Kickoff, Salesforce Birthday, World Tour, and Executive & Employee Resource Group events.
Brand & Employee Experience: Enhance the reputation of Salesforce Sydney Tower as a top workplace by driving engagement initiatives and employee storytelling.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and security standards, applying industry best practices.
Experience & Skills Required:
Proven expertise in event and project management, preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
Shown ability to execute large-scale events, including conferences, executive programs, product launches, and trade shows.
Expertise in vendor negotiations and hospitality industry knowledge.
Strong ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative mentality with a problem-solving approach to challenges and conflicts.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to initiate process improvements.
Strong analytical approach with experience in event data reporting, performance measurement, and financial management.
Proficiency in Google Suite Workspace and collaboration tools such as Slack and Quip.
Experience using IT/AV tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and webinar platforms.
Ability to work outside traditional business hours and travel locally/internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within a global company, managing events across multiple regions.
Knowledge of Salesforce brand, culture, and product positioning.
Passion for encouraging workplace connections and employee engagement.
Demonstrated ability to align events with values, including sustainability, accessibility, and philanthropy.
